Pasture growth rates have increased through September with the warmer weather. Significant rainfall over the past week was a relief as soil moisture levels were getting low. Meat and wool prices continue to firm or remain stable
All cattle across the group are on target to achieve or exceed weight targets. We now expect to sell more dairy bulls than budgeted and at higher rates. We expect to start to kill the Wagyu x cattle at Ngongotaha in November.
We have now sold all of the lambs carried over from 2013/14 at Wharenui.
We have docked at 138% at Ngongotaha, cv. 137% as per budget. The other two properties are in the midst of docking.
Necessary housing repairs and continuing issues with the tractor fleet are the major upcoming variances to expected costs. Some expenditure at Tihi-o-tonga has been brought forward into August from September
There have been no incidents or accidents to report on farm this month.
