Wharenui Station: Pasture growth rates have increased significantly since last month with APC increasing to an estimated 2,200kg DM/ha as at the 15th of November. 17ha of kale has now been sown. All ewes have been shorn with the first of the ewe lambs also shorn. Last seasons carryover lambs have been sent in October with the first draft of new season lambs due to be sent in December. YTD Bull sale averages are up on budget and to date approx. 408 bulls have been sold.
Tihi-o-Tonga Station: Wagyu Heifers slaughtered in October looking to increase marbling scores. We have secured dairy heifer calves to graze from December 1st. Fertiliser has been applied to all of our one and two year old new grass paddocks, no more will be applied until Autumn.
Ngongotahā Station: We will be weaning the first of the lambs at the end of this week. We have purchased white-face steers from Wharenui. Cattle kill has commenced. Work being done on the roading at Ngongotahā.
