Pasture rate and covers remain well above normal levels across all three farms despite drier than normal conditions. Global Dairy Trade prices have continued to post incremental improvements but we are still not expecting significant improvement in the final 15/16 milk price or forecasts.
Kale and Swede crops are growing well at Wharenui Station and some Kale has been grazed due to size and impact on early sown Kale. A further 27 R3 Bulls have been sold.
At Tihi-o-tonga, lamb sales have picked up with lamb carcass weights consistently above 17kg. We have approximately 500 lambs left to sell. 30 Wagyu Heifers were slaughtered on the 9th of May.
On Ngongotahā an additional 22 Hereford Steers have been killed ad the average carcass weights are in line with budget. All boner cows have been sold.
