April 2015 Farm Report

NgaKuri1

We have had good rainfall across all the farms and despite a hard frost 10 days ago, soil temperatures are still supportive of good pasture growth.

Store beef prices continue to lift and the prime lamb and beef schedules have lifted off their lows.

Lamb weights remain good on all three farms, although the kill has been slow through the end of March and April to date.

We are getting to the end of our scheduled cattle kill, with the bulk of the remaining trade cattle at Ngongotaha and Wharenui likely to be killed over the next two weeks. Heifer changeover will occur at the end of this month.

There have no accidents and no reported incidents at WFL to report

We have purchased a silage wagon for Ngongotaha
